You can make from 1 to 15 icons, but you can't mix all three - if you're using the screencap, you can't mix it with any of the characters and/or themes.

But you can make only one per theme - maybe I wasn't clear with this one earlier, even if you have multiple favorite characters they should be shown on one icon. So maybe you'd like to place one of these in a different theme - eg, favorite color? If not please let me know which one you're choosing as favorite character :)
