Jane Austen icon battle!

Hi everyone! Let's have a Jane Austen icon battle! :) I'm kind of missing my old Austen challenge community, so I thought a nice, small Austen-related icon battle would be just the ticket to indulge my nostalgia. :D We can icon anything Austen-related, be it films about her life, adaptations of her novels (tv, film, web), films/shows that have Austen or her books as a focal point, etc.

OPEN with caveat - the signups are opened again!


I'm thinking 15-20 icons each participant, with each person providing at least one technical theme, an inspirational/topical theme, and a cap. If we're less than five we'll go around and add more and just randomize for the rest. (If we're more than five...we'll figure it out! We won't go beyond 20 icons.)

Update: if we get to six, we'll each have the above, and then everyone can submit an extra theme (of any kind, including cap) and we'll randomize the list to get two extra prompts for the final two icons, so our total will be an even 20 icons. :) We will cap at six participants.

Update 25/Feb: I'm opening signups again, with the caveat that new participants won't get to choose their three themes. They will get to submit either one technical or one inspirational theme, which I will randomize and take two from, for the final two icons, so the total number of icons people make will still be 20 (18 from early participants). If you are okay with this, we are welcome to have you on board!

Got it! :D And yeah, I didn't know there would be a lot of interest--I was actually worried there wouldn't be enough to hit 5 participants/15 icons! I should have instead chosen a different kind of battle that would allow as many people as possible to participate. I'll keep that in mind for next time!
