So for those of you that missed the mini-mention in this week's general post/aren't members of the comm, I'm planning on running an icon awards event (& friending meme) here, based on wonderous_stuff's Icon Appreciation Month (take a look here if you're unfamiliar with IAM). It will either take place during December or January (depending on if bestof_icons is going to be running in December) and at present the awards categories are:

Maker Awards:
Best Overall Maker
Most Inventive Maker
Most Supportive Maker/User
Most Improved Maker
Best Newbie
Best Texture-Maker

Community Awards:
Best Icon Challenge Comm
Best Solo Mod
Best Mod Team

Icon Awards:
Best Vibrant Icon
Best Muted Icon
Best Black & White / Greyscale Icon
Best Close Crop Icon
Best Negative Space Icon
Best Complex Icon
Best Minimalist Icon
Best Text in an Icon
Best Lighting in an Icon
Best Use of Stock in an Icon
Best Animated Icon

I've added a couple of categories to the existing IAM awards categories, but if you have any other suggestions for awards / any other questions / want to volunteer with coding voting posts or counting nomination tallies or checking dates of icons (etc.) then please comment below!
