Hey everyone, are you interested in doing an underappreciated/rare fandoms battle?  If so, please  sign up, by just dropping a comment in this post with your username, any suggestions for underappreciated/rare fandom are always welcome and a theme/themes (it doesn't matter if they are technical or interpretative). Caps are restricted in the sense that the caps must come from a screencap gallery or livejournal gallery or tumblr screencap gallery. Caps will however be open to any underappreciated fandoms. Please see the information below regarding the battle.

Sign ups will be open until July 15th. Once they're closed the dates for the submissions will be set. The first 10 people (or more) to sign up will be the ones entering with into this battle.

Information about the icon battle: The icon battle will be between 15 to 20 icons. Caps are restricted in the sense that the caps must come from a screencap gallery, livejournal screencap gallery, or tumblr/deviantart screencap gallery. Things you have free reign over: the choice of fandoms (there are exceptions to that which will be discussed below under the defintion of popular fandoms), the amount of artistic free-choices to choose from, the set themes may be anywhere between 10 to 12 icons (depending on sign ups). and you can choose to complete between 15 to 20 icons. The battle will probably end around August 7.

Defintion of Underappreciated fandoms: as any fandom that could have been popular years ago but isn't seen anymore in the iconing community. Some of these fandoms may have icontests that is dedicated to them but don't often see these icons made for anymore or rarely made for.

Suggested Underappreciated fandoms: Psych, Hiraku No Go, Murder She Wrote, Hey Arnold, Young Justice, Ugly Betty, Firefly, King Arthur, The Princess Bride, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Detective Conan, Chronicles of Narnia, Ace Attorney, Fushigi Yuugi, Inception, Dark Angel, Charmed, Farscape, Series of Unfortunate Events, Magic School Bus, Arthur, Lord of the Rings, and most of the tags found at fandom_of_one.

Defintion of fandoms: any tv-show, anime/manga, movies, and animation can be used. (Exception: stock and popular fandoms).

Definition of popular fandoms: Supernatural, Doctor Who,  Disney, Marvel, Once Upon a Time, Game of Thrones, and Teen Wolf.

Animanga series: Air Gear, Fullmetal Alchemist, Rurouni Kenshin, Code Geass (though I've seen a few more icons with CG recently!) and Blood Plus.
Themes: Landscape / background scenery, rainbow, monochrome, flowers, provided texture or font.

EDIT: Regarding animanga series, there's not a ton of cap sites, especially since the manga is mostly from scans. From what I know, Minitokyo is the main "cap" site for them. Would it be allowed for those specific fandoms?

You may only use One Direction in the sense that they appeared in the movie One Direction: This Is Us, and I can see the screencap gallery for it here (http://kissthemgoodbye.net/movie/thumbnails.php?album=133 (http://kissthemgoodbye.net/movie/thumbnails.php?album=133)) but I don't want to see icons of them in concerts or something not from screencap galleries.

Also do you mind clarifying what you mean by icons made by 5 steps (is it like using the same image but in 5 different ways?)
