OUaT Icon Battle - Sign Ups!

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago about having a OUaT battle here and finally had time to put this together. Sign-ups will close on the 5th of January. The first 15 people who sign up get to pick one of the fifteen characters we'll be iconning, but if you aren't among the first 15 and still want to take part, just sign up with your username :)

The battle itself will work like the Lost battle, where everyone makes an icon of each character on the list below (Storybrooke version or otherwise, your choice) and submits them in a screened comment to the entry post (which will be up on the 6th of January), and then there'll be a big reveal at the end of the challenge on the 6th of February.

You don't have to be a member of this comm to participate by the way! And don't worry if someone else signs up with a character before you - everyone icons all the signed up characters so you'll get to icon them anyway :)

Slightly off-topic, but I was just thinking it'd be great if we had a battle sign-up post pinned here and done a la theiconquest's battle thread. People could request battlers for shows/movies/whatever, the theme, etc. What do you think?

I'm one of the mods for the new icon comm that was discussed at a_i and we're actually doing a battle thread there anyway so people can track that post and find battles/partners - is that the sort of thing you mean?

I HAVE A QUESTION, BB.

If we don't get 15 sign ups, will we devise some way of filling up the rest of the character posts with unclaimed characters? I mean, it looks like we'll probably have 15+ sign ups the way things are going, but juuuuuuuuuuuuust in case.

I hadn't actually thought about that - I'm just assuming we'll get 15 people signed up by the 5th, if we've got 12 overnight... - but I guess maybe everyone suggests another character and the top however many we need characters are also included? Yeah, that's Plan B :P

I've added you to the list but we're no longer signing up with characters so Marian won't be iconned during the battle - the characters were just to determine which characters would be iconned, and I didn't want it to get too big so we're only doing characters from the first people to sign up.
